Terms

The terms.

Plain terms for a small app. They are meant to be read once, so they are as short as they can honestly be.

The agreement

Using Sonorlog means accepting these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use it — and if you have already, deleting your account ends the agreement.

Your account

You need an account for your nights to survive your phone. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.

What you record is yours

Your recordings, transcripts and readings belong to you. You give me only the permission needed to run the service — to store what you record, send it to be transcribed and read, and show it back to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.

What the reading is, and is not

The reading is a machine's interpretation of what you said. It is offered so you can correct it, and it is sometimes wrong.

SONORLOG IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE and is not mental-health care. It does not diagnose, treat or advise, and nothing it writes is a professional opinion. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line — this app cannot help with that and is not built to.

Fair use

Don't upload anything you have no right to record, don't use the service to break the law, and don't try to take it down or work around its limits. There is a cap on nights per day, and it is there to keep the cost of a model call from being someone else's problem.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be reachable or that a reading will always come together. I will keep it up as carefully as I can, and I will tell you before ending it — with time to take your nights with you.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app. I can close an account that is being used against these terms, and I will say why.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION].

Changes

If these terms change materially, the app will say so before the change takes effect.
